Refrigeration control and temperature monitoring for restaurants
One failed walk-in costs more than a year of monitoring. CoolTech takes over the controls on every cooler, freezer, reach-in and prep table you already run — then tells the right person while the load is still saveable, and lets them fix it from a phone.
What this actually looks like
The Sunday morning discovery
A compressor gives up Friday night. Nobody is in the building until Sunday. By then it is not a repair bill, it is a repair bill plus the entire walk-in.
The clipboard that gets filled in at 4pm
Manual temperature logs are a compliance formality that nobody believes, least of all an inspector who has seen a week of identical handwriting.
Alerts everyone has muted
A cheap sensor that pages every time the delivery door is propped open trains your staff to ignore it — which means it will also be ignored the night it is right.
What CoolTech does about it
The part that changes
Not a feature list — the specific things that make the difference for this kind of operation.
Texts the manager, then the owner
Escalation chains mean the alert does not die in one muted phone. Manager first, on-call fifteen minutes later, owner after that, until somebody acknowledges.
Door-open noise filtered out
Alerts require the breach to hold for a duration you set, so normal kitchen traffic never fires one and your staff keep trusting the ones that do.
The inspector's log, already written
HACCP temperature reports for any date range, exported to CSV. No clipboard, no gaps, no argument about whether it was filled in honestly.
Fix a setpoint without a truck roll
Night setpoints, defrost timing and alarm limits are all changeable from a phone. Most calls a technician gets for a restaurant are a number, not a wrench.
Questions from this side of the business
Can CoolTech monitor a restaurant walk-in cooler and freezer at the same time?
Yes. Each unit is monitored and configured independently, with its own setpoints, alarm limits and alert rules, and all of them appear together on one screen. A walk-in freezer at -5°F and a produce cooler at 38°F are never held to the same threshold.
Will CoolTech text me if my restaurant cooler fails overnight?
Yes. CoolTech sends email and text alerts when a unit goes out of range and stays out of range, and when a unit stops reporting altogether. Escalation chains move to the next person if the first does not acknowledge, so an alert does not die in a muted phone.
Does CoolTech replace a paper temperature log for a health inspection?
Yes. CoolTech records temperatures continuously and generates HACCP temperature reports for any date range, exportable to CSV. Because the record is automatic, it is complete regardless of whether anyone remembered to walk the clipboard around.
